TRAVEL & ARRIVAL

1. When should I arrive in India for the wedding?
We recommend arriving in India 1–2 days before the wedding events begin so you have time to rest, adjust to the time zone, and enjoy a bit of sightseeing. Many guests are choosing to fly into New Delhi first, spend a day or two there, and then travel onward to Jaipur.

2. Which airport should I fly into?
For international flights, we suggest flying into New Delhi (DEL). From there, you can either take a short domestic flight or drive to Jaipur (JAI). If you find a good connection directly into Jaipur, that works too.

3. How do I get from Delhi to Jaipur?
You can either:

  • Take a domestic flight from Delhi (DEL) to Jaipur (JAI), or

  • Book a car/road transfer, which is a comfortable drive of around 3.5- 4 hours.

Our travel desk can help you compare and book both options—flights or car transfers. Their contact details are available under the ‘Travel’ tab.

4. If I arrive in Jaipur by flight, will someone be there to receive me?
Yes. Once your travel is confirmed and you share your arrival details, our hospitality team will coordinate your pick-up from Jaipur airport and escort you to the hotel.

5. What is the baggage allowance on domestic flights within India?
Most domestic airlines in India allow 15 kg of checked-in baggage per passenger, which is usually less than international allowances. If you are on separate tickets, you may need to pay for extra baggage on your domestic flight.

Our travel desk can assist you with all booking options. Their contact details are available under the ‘Travel’ tab.

6. Who can I contact for help with flights and travel plans?
You can reach out to the travel desk listed on the Travel page for assistance with:

  • Visas

  • International and domestic flight bookings

  • Transport within India

  • Tours and sightseeing around your trip

They can help you plan everything in one place.

7. Can someone help me organize tours or local experiences?

  • City tours

  • Visits to forts and palaces

  • Shopping trips

  • Day trips and more

You can contact them directly using the details provided on the Travel page.

HOTEL & STAY

1.Where are guests staying for the wedding?
All wedding guests are requested to stay at Rambagh Palace, where all events and hospitality will take place.

2. How do I book my room?
Please use the “Book My Room” link to book your hotel room. The link will take you directly to the hotel’s booking portal with the wedding rate and dates pre-set (subject to availability). If you face any issues, you can contact the hotel directly or reach out to mahipremwedding@gmail.com

3. Can I stay at a different hotel?
*We kindly request that guests stay at Rambagh Palace. There will be events, hospitality, and small gatherings happening throughout the day, and staying on-property will make it much easier to enjoy everything comfortably. Staying off-property can make logistics, timing, and transport more challenging.

4. Can I arrive earlier or stay longer than the wedding dates?
Yes. You can reach out to Rambagh Palace directly to request additional nights at the preferred wedding rate (subject to availability). It’s a great idea if you’d like to explore Jaipur before or after the wedding.

5. Should I arrive before the first day of the celebrations?
We recommend arriving in Jaipur 1–2 days before the wedding for a smooth and comfortable start. If you plan to arrive on the morning of September 15th, the first day of the celebrations, please note that most guests will be landing around the same time from Delhi or Mumbai. Our hospitality team will meet you at Jaipur Airport and escort you to the hotel.

Because of the large number of group arrivals, there may be delays with check-in and in room luggage delivery.

we recommend keeping a change of clothes and essentials in your carry-on to get ready without waiting for your bags, since The Haldi ceremony begins at noon. For a more relaxed start, you may choose to arrive a day earlier using the wedding room rate at Rambagh Palace. You can also extend your stay before or after the wedding or select from nearby hotels in Jaipur. Our travel desk can assist with all accommodation bookings.

VISAS & ENTRY FORMALITIES

1. Do I need a visa to travel to India?
Most foreign nationals do require a visa to enter India. Many guests will be eligible for an India e-Visa, which can be applied for online. We recommend checking your country’s specific requirements and applying well in advance.

2. When should I apply for my visa?
We suggest applying for your e-Visa 2–3 weeks before your departure date, or as early as the guidelines allow, to avoid any last-minute stress.

3. What should I use as my address in India on the visa form?
You can use the wedding hotel details (Rambagh Palace, Jaipur) as your address in India. The full address is listed on the Hotel Booking page.

4. Do I need to fill any extra forms for arrival in India?
India currently requires foreign nationals to complete an online arrival form (e-Arrival Card) before landing. Please follow the official instructions shared on the Travel page and complete the form within the stated time frame before your flight.

*Our travel desk can help with all your visa needs under ‘Travel’ tab

1. What is the dress code for each event?
The suggested attire for each event is listed on the Attire page. You’ll find guidance such as:

  • Ideas for South Asian and Western outfits

2. What should I pack for Jaipur in September?
Jaipur in September is generally warm, with daytime temperatures often in the high 80s to Mid 90s °F (20s–30s °C).

LOCAL LIFE, MONEY & CONNECTIVITY

1. Will my phone work in India?
Most international phones will work in India with roaming enabled, but charges can be high. You can also purchase a local SIM card or use eSIM options if available for your carrier. The hotel and many venues will have Wi-Fi, and most group communication and wedding Announcements will likely be via WhatsApp, so we recommend having WhatsApp installed before you travel.

2. Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is not mandatory but is highly recommended, especially for international trips. It can help cover unexpected medical needs, trip delays, or lost luggage.
